How do you autoplay Videos on Facebook Lite?

You must have noticed that videos on Facebook autoplay in silent mode. This is done by Facebook so that more videos are watched on its site. But this is found annoying by many users. Thankfully, there is a way to disable this feature in different devices.

Heres how to disable Facebook Autoplay videos in different devices
On Desktop:

Go to the Settings page and click on Videos. After that select Off on Auto-Play Videos section.

On iPhone:

In Facebooks iOS app, select the icon of three lines in the lower right corner, then
Settings > Account Settings > Videos and Photos > Autoplay, and select Never Autoplay Videos.

On Android:

On Android, you will find the auto-play settings within the Facebook app itself. Tap the menu button and then choose App Settings. Then in the Autoplay option, select Never Autoplay Videos.

Video is the future of Facebook and in order to make its content more watchable, it will autoplay videos with sound on by default. Although it wont autoplay on sound if you are already listening to something.

There are certain reasons why Facebook is making this change despite the backlash. Facebook reported that initial tests on this feature received positive feedback. On the other hand, Facebooks biggest competitor, Snapchat is already doing it. This has lead business to buy more video ads. Some users are bound to get pissed off by this feature update but then again Facebook is making a calculated bet that its benefits outweigh the complaints.
