Msi laptop shut off and wont turn on
If your laptop does not shut down, we recommend you following below procedure. How to shut down in WindowsClick on “Shut down” button in Windows at bottom left corner to turn off. Open the Task Manager, select [fewer details] and [End Task] to terminate all the programs. Please try to shutting down the computer through Windows taskbar again. If the above 2 methods do not work, you can long press the power button for 3 seconds to switch off the computer. Hey there, I have a laptop MSI GE70 MS (with windows 10 since last year) for almost two years now (sadly, that means it no longer has any warranty) and today, in the middle of a gaming session, it turned off instantly by itself and now I can't for the life of me turn it back on again. I've been researching the internet for a couple hours now, and found a fix that's supposed to help mostly of the cases like mine, taking out the battery, pressing the power button for 30 secs - 1 minute, and trying to turn it on only with the charger. It didn't work. I have a multimeter here (I study electric engineering), and I measured the voltage supplied by the charger. After I disconnect it from the laptop, the voltage measured is 0 volts. If I take the charger of the wall and then put it on again and measure it, I get 20 volts, but if I plug the laptop in, the laptop still does not turn on, and if I try to measure the voltage on the charger again, it's back to 0 until I take it of the wall and put it on again. Might sound a bit confusing but truth be told I can't make much sense out of this (and also english is not my first language). Anyway, does anyone out there have an idea that does not involve replacing parts (I can't do that right now, might be a while until I can) or another tests that I can do to narrow down the possibilities of what went out wrong? I am almost sure that is a problem with something in the power supply, like charger, battery or some power regulator inside it, but at the same time, I'm terrified that it might be a motherboard problem. If it is a motherboard problem, than woe is me, I haven't got the money to buy a new one and won't have it for quite some time. Anyway, sorry if I wasn't clear enough, and thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide :) (also, I didn't post more specific specs because of the nature of the problem, but if someone thinks they might be relevant, just say it and I will see what I can get without being able to turn it on).

My msi laptop GL62 6QF won't start. It worked fine, I closed the lid and came back 30 minutes later and it didn't turn on again. Even with the charger plugged in nothing happened. There should be no reason for it to do this. The battery was almost full.
Try the following and see if it will turn on... 1. First make sure the device has been charged.
2. Unplug your charger cord.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Press and hold the "Power" button for 30 seconds.
5. Now plug back in the power/charger cord. 6. Now put the battery back in. If this doesn't help, then test the power cord to see if it is good. Either try your cord in another device, or try another devices cord in your laptop. Should that not be the problem, then check the battery to see if it needs replacing.

I had the same problem and I did the procedure you mentioned. It works but after the laptop turned on, the battery was 85% and i try to run "League of Legend", within 15 minutes it shut down without warning and it does not turn on anymore. I did the procedure again and again, and it does not work anymore. Wondering what is going on. PS:The first time I am able to turn it on, I checked the battery is 85% and the charger does work.
