Review serum yuja some by mi

Aside from my acne, I would say I’m pretty self-conscious about my lasting acne scars. Regardless if I pick at my acne or not, I will get a scar and it sucks. That’s why I turn to skincare to help reduce the pigmentation left behind by a scar. When I first heard of the SOME BY MI Yuja Niacin Blemish Care Serum, you could say I was skeptical but intrigued.

This serum has MAJOR claims that made it hard to not roll my eyes with disbelief.

This photo pretty much claims that in 30 days this serum will rid of any pigmented spots on your face, ranging from acne scars to freckles and sunspots, “

Complete spot removal in 30 days”. It also promises to make your skin whiter. With a handful of acne scars on my cheek and chin, and quite a few sunspots (that San Diego sun is strong), I knew I had to test this serum out. So for 30 days, I applied this at night only on my left cheek.

Before I move onto my experience using this serum, let’s jump into some of the product info.

DESCRIPTION

As mentioned earlier, this serum aims at correcting “flaws”, brightening and whitening the skin tone, while also helping to target and reduce wrinkles. The company uses words such as “ALL KILL” and “FLAWLESS” to explain the effects of this serum.

The ingredients highlighted are 82% Korean Yuja Extract which helps with brightening and moisturizing, 5% Niacinamide to further help with brightening effects and blemish care, Glutathione and Arbutin that aides with lightning and fading of pigmentation, and 12 types of Vitamins to help with overall revitalization.

Below is a photo of the type of skin that would benefit the most from this product.

MY EXPERIENCE

I used this serum for 30 days, from February 22nd to March 25th. There were 3 days I didn’t use it because I forgot to bring it with me when I went out of town, so I made sure to add an extra 3 days to complete the full 30 days.

I took a final photo on my 30th day to reflect the full differences in an easy and simple visual manner, which you can see below:

As you can see, I did NOT have the results nearly as dramatic and drastic as SOME BY MI claims. My results are pretty minimal to be very honest. My acne scars are still present, my freckles haven’t changed in the slightest, and overall my skin isn’t that much brighter than before, the difference is heavily due to the lighting in my bathroom.

For me it’s fine as products vary from person to person, so some people won’t have the same experience as others. However, I do find their ad photos to be misleading. Take the initial photo for example, as the girl’s skin actually seems edited to be worse than it really is. I could be wrong, but that is my absolute belief. Her skin looks to have some pitted scars as well as deep pores that are all on top of her acne scarring, freckles and sun spots. A serum cannot fix pitted scarring nor can it help make your pores disappear completely.

I also find it interesting that all of the “after” photos are taken in much better lit areas than the original photo. To be really specific, look at the ears of all the before and after photos they used. Their ears are brighter and I highly doubt that every single person was using this on their ears as well. I truly question the validity of all their advertisements about this serum as these results don’t seem reasonably obtainable as depicted.

That was my experience and perspective on the SOME BY MI Yuja Niacin Blemish Care Serum. The previous serums I’ve tried that have less drastic claims as this serum actually worked significantly better. But again, each person has their own experience, so this may not have worked for me but could help someone else’s skin. What do you think of the above questionable campaign photos and is this serum something you would want to try?
