Cosrx review Reddit

Both my daughter and I have dry skin due to tretinoin. We can also be oily in our T-zone--and especially the chin--in the warmer months.

Advanced Snail 92 Cream, B-: I have used this and it was not moisturizing enough for my face. I also dislike the packaging. The black paint on the lid somehow interacts with the cream and it flakes off, the inner lid of my jar is covered in paint specks. Yes, the jar comes with a flat inner lid you can take on and off that is not the screw-on product lid, but I stupidly tossed it as I disliked how the cream would stick to it and string along whenever I took it off, it just grossed me out in a way that I cannot explain. Anyway, I purchased it at Ulta using points and thought I liked it, so bought two more half-off during the fall 21 Days. I returned the half-off purchase and am working my way through the original jar. I burned my leg and ankle pretty badly in October (second and third degree burns) and I am using this cream on the area that is healing and scarred. It actually helps a lot, the skin that is healing gets tight and kind of hurts if I wear certain shoes, but a dab of the cream makes it feel better. I give it a B because I swear it has helped with my burn healing. WNRP unless I stupidly burn myself again.

Snail Power Essence, A+: My daughter and I love this. We cannot live without it. Her skins was bad with acne on her cheeks, she started Tret and the pill, and this provides her an extra layer of moisture. Her skin has cleared up and is now glowing, I really believe the essence helps with the luminosity she now has. She goes through this like crazy and doesn't to ever want to be without it. I use it as well and enjoy it. I have healthy back stock of it (because my teen does blow through it) and I will always get more when Ulta has it half-off or as part of a points haul. One thing I will note, it is stringy (but it doesn't gross me out like the cream), and I accidentally got someone my eye. It seriously burned and my eye was irritated for a good day even though I rinsed it out. My daughter learned from me and we now both apply with our eyes close. WRP

Low pH Good Morning Cleanser, F: I found it to be super drying and stripping. I actually just tossed half a bottle I opened last summer, I just can't bring myself to finish it. I have so many other cleansers and life is too short to use a bad one. WNRP

Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule, B: I have this in the older version, I purchased it at Ulta. There is now a newer version/bottle shape. The version I got came half-full. I went to Ulta, where I ordered it from, and looked at every other bottle in the store and they were all this way, so I don't know what that is about. I kept it and it works okay for some extra light smoothing and hydration. I don't reach for it, but use it perhaps weekly. I did purchase another half-full, older version bottle when Ulta clearanced them out last fall to make way for the newer version. I may repurchase the newer version when I run out.

Pimple Patches, Master Patch and Clear Fit Master Patch, B: I like these alright, they stick well. I do find them expensive for what they are and now prefer the Peach Slices version, which feels the same and does not cost as much.

AC Collection Acne Patch, A-: I got these from Dermstore and like them a lot. I wish Ulta carried them. The shape is oval, not round, they are thinner than the regular patch, and they have Centella in them. I will repurchase next time I buy from Dermstore and need to add something to my cart to reach the free shipping threshold.

Skin Type: Combo (mostly dry/some oily spots), acne-prone

Product: AHA/BHA/Vit C Daily Toner

Thoughts: Haven't really noticed it doing much for my skin, which is a shame because i have an extra bottle and I'm not done with my first one. I probably won't repurchase this once I get through the bottles I have. It would probably be better to use the products specifically for white heads or black heads since they will have a higher concentration of actives, and in turn will do more for the skin. It's not a bad toner, but I don't think it's really worth it.

Product: Acne Pimple Master Patch

Thoughts: I like these. I don't use them often, but they work well. I think I prefer the Peach Slices microdart patches more for deeper pimples, since those are magic on my skin. But these are good for smaller pimples that aren't too serious.

Product: Low pH Good Morning Gel

Thoughts: This product works well, it did help clear up my skin when I was using it a long time ago. But I remember the scent being pretty strong and medicinal, so if you don't like or are sensitive to strong scents, then you probably won't like this one. I don't think I'd purchase this one again just because I have other cleansers I like more.

Product: Aloe Soothing Sun Cream

Thoughts: I like this sun screen, it feels really nice on the skin, and feels hydrating. It works well under makeup, and I don't recall it leaving any white cast. It's also SPF 50+ and PA+++. I currently use other sunscreens for my face, but I like to use this on my hands and neck.

Product: Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

Thoughts: I actually bought this for my mom because she saw Ulta was having a sale on it and wanted to try it, but I bought it from Yesstyle instead because it was cheaper lol. I tried some of it, and it feels hydrating. The texture is fun, and there's no scent to it. My mom seems to really enjoy it so far.

Product: Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream

Thoughts: Basically same deal as the former, my mom wanted to try this one and she seems to like it as well.

Product: One Step Original Clear Pad

Thoughts: I really like these, I used to use them a lot when my acne was worse and the packaging still had that funny looking character on it. They did help to clear up my skin, and I used to cut them all in half and get double the product out of them since I felt like using a whole pad was unnecessary. I don't find them necessary for me anymore, and I'd rather use a regular chemical exfoliant and reduce the amount of waste from the products I use. But these are very convenient to have.

Product: Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream

Thoughts: Eye creams aren't necessary unless you have a specific concern you want to address. In my case, I have really dry under eye areas, and very noticeable dark circles. I haven't been using it long enough to address whether or not it's really helping my dark circles, but it does leave my under eye area feeling hydrated which is really nice. Especially when wearing makeup because my under eyes are the first to cake even with very little product just because they can get so dry lol.

Overall, I like COSRX, and I'd definitely try more of their products.
